underdrive is a waste of money, air foil is a waste of money theres no "chip" for your car id do headers converter and gears than get a mail order tune from MadZ28 or PCM4Less... now theres a couple free mods that are worth it like the throttle body bypass, get rid of the "donkey dong" on the elbow (plugging the hole of course)

And there is absolutely no value in changing the fuel pressure regulator. You don't "tune" by changing the fuel pressure, you tune using the PCM. And yes, if you change the rear axle ratio, the PCM needs to be programmed or your speedometer/odometer will be way off, and your A4 will not shift correctly.

The mods you listed are probably the worst possible choices.

U/D pulley picks up 0.7 peak HP (yes, 7/10th's of one HP):

Airfoil for 2.4 peak HP:

http://www.ws6.com/mod-4.htm

Hypertech Power Programmer with 160* t'stat for 5 peak HP (since you can't do a "CHIP"):

http://www.ws6.com/mod-3.htm

FPR - Look.... 16 peak HP..... but read the note at the bottom of the dyno sheet. As soon as the PCM senses the change in fuel flow due to the change in fuel pressure, it compensates and the gain totally disappears:

http://www.ws6.com/mod-7.htm

Get a mail order tune, and you will see a 10-15HP gain simply from leaning out the overly rich target A/F ratio in PE (power enrichment) mode.

Underdrive pulley actually does make a difference under the right conditions. On my last motor with heads, cam and longtubes the guy at the shop put the ud pulley on but took off the harmonic balancer, when I found out about it and asked him to put it back on he said he did it before and it worked just fine, long story short I ended up putting it back on myself knowing it wasnt too smart to run without the balancer but my throttle response when I put the balancer back on was night and day difference, the engine idled smoother but the response wasnt as good I took it back off just to make sure it really made that much of a difference and it did. Not sayin you should get a ud pulley just thought you should be more informed. heres video of the car without the balancer...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECtdhuF_VfM

Actual dyno numbers and data hold more water than the assumed psychological effects of a modification.

Just sayin'.

Re: 96 camaro ss auto upgrades help??

ramair95ta I agree but in this case its not psychological the weight of the balancer on the end of the crank causes it to spin slower than if it was removed which would relieve pressure off the crank and allow it to spin faster thus allowing for a better throttle response. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being informed in my case I saw a 5hp increase which for the money is definitely NOT worth it. I apologize for the lack of info in my earlier quote. As far as the msd I went through 4 opti's before I spent the big bucks on the msd billet distributor been runnin that for 6 years without a problem. Some will say get a GM opti and be done with it, I would suggest just staying away from the knockoffs.

It's EXACTLY the same as shown in the link/photo I posted, which clearly indicates "Throttle Body Bypass for 1995 - 1997 F-Body". Did you bother to look at it?
