96-97 Style MAC with OTVC Taylor?

Does anyone have this set up? Most of the people that show up with a search have the 94-94 style. Will this work? There doesn't seem to be much room to route the wires from the top of the valve cover on the drivers side. Any pics would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know this isnt what you are asking for, but why do you even want the 96-97 style? They look like crap, they will flow like crap, and if you get the 94-95 style and still run 2 cats, no emissions place is going to give you a hard time about moving that drivers side cat, as long as it is there... Just my thoughts....good luck!

Nope, not what I was looking for...

I know that the 94-95 style is better, but that is not what I have. I bought them from Jet Hot for a bit of a discount, without researching the finer points first. I've had them sitting around for some time now, and I'm finally going to install them. Had I known what I know now, I would have got the 94-95 style. Thanks for the input though.

Don't worry, you'll still get a gain from the shorties. I believe the passenger side is nearly identical in either case. It's the driver's side that is so different.

I would keep the stock wire location. No sense in doing the OVC if you don't have to. I have '94-'95 style MAC's and the stock routing is great. Just make sure to re-install those metal boot protectors if you can.

I have the OTVC routing, and IMO, if you can doit with the 96-97 style, I would recommend it. If you have ever seen the OTVC in person, you can really see how much space is between the wires and any part of the headers. In other words, there is absolutely no chance of burning a wire. With the stock routing, you have to be much more meticulous with your routing, and then hopefully you wont touch a wire to a primary down the road...

Plus it looks sweet!

good luck
