96 383 z28 camaro running hot, Cant figure out

i have a 96 383 stroker z28 camaro, lt4 top end, hooker long tube headers, msd etc. the fan is wired directly to battery source and has a 30 amp fuse in it, and from what i was told from previous owner is that the fans kick on at 180 degrees. i kind of verified that by watching the stock gauge in the car and they do seem to kick on at about 180. Car will climb all the way to 3/4 of the way up at times and anywhere in between half way. No matter if im sitting in traffic or driving on the highway with no one in front of me car runs hot and has got me lost and extrememly fustrated. i recently tried replacing thermostat and that didnt help any, i know theres a plastic cover type thing near the washer box but i ripped that out thinking it would help my issue and it didnt at all!!!! car has mostly orange coolant in it but have topped off with 50 50 all make n model antifreeze. Fans kick on, seem to be pulling in air fine its actually cold in front of it and u can feel the heat its blowing off lost and dont know where to look from now. fans are stock and radiator as well, but figured they should be plenty to not get hot even on cool nights!
... PLEASE HELP!!

You sure the coolant is circulating? Maybe a clogged line or radiator could be slowing down or stopping the flow. Flush out the system to clean it. What about the air dam underneath, is it still there?
