95z is stumbling plz help

i dont quite no if this is where i should post this but im gonna. With in the last 3 months my car has been falling on its face. what i mean is when im driving and i go to get on the highway i get to from any where from45-65 and the car will be going the drop a couple hundred rpms and seem to choke then back to life within a sec or two. it will continue to do this untill the engine gets warm or i get up to about 70 75ish. it is a a4 stock 95z. i am just guessing but it seems like to me that it is n 4 gear at this time and wants to shift to overdrive but is getting scrambled along the way. but i really dont know to much i will be grateful for any help offered. A scanner is needed to see what the tranny is doing at any given time. I believe AAMCO does an inexpensive diagnostic with a visual check, a road check and a scanner check. I'm lucky, the one here did a check of the durango and said everything was fine, nothing was needed. Appreciated the honesty. So if it's 30 or 40 bucks, it's worth it. So if they tell you something you didn't want to hear, get a second opinion.
