Angry 95 z28 engine light comes on when fans do but engine not hot?

ive read up on it and says coolant temp sensor and others say rarely the computer goes bad. i took to smog shop they said they got a code that doesnt exist sooo i think the smog shop is stupid and i need some input. i can start the car up and for almost 5 minutes no SES light but then the fans go on and the light comes on at same time. the top end was recently rebuilt because the head gaskets got blown. ive replace coolant level sensor ive gotten it smogged but no cert because of engine light i put new coolant new oil and filter and replace all fuses and everything works fine but cant figure out this headache. should i grab a CTS from junk yard across st and try that first?

The fans come on when the SES light comes on, regardless of the problem. Find another shop and have the codes pulled and post the code number here.

That's right. Code 62 is not applicable to your car. If there is a code, it must be something else.

These computers don't get "chipped". They are flash programmed. I have read another of your posts and and it sounds like you may be getting jacked around. You need to see what computer is in your car (there is a service number on it). Corvette tunes might have had an oil temp function, but not sure (f-body cars don't). If it has the right computer, but maybe wrong tune, that might cause some confusion.

The low oil light is not connected to the computer.
