'95 Z28 Automatic Transmission Problem

Yeah, when I'm cruising it *SEEMS* like the transmission reshifts back into gear. There's a jerk. I have no idea what it's doing. Right after, the "Service Engine Soon" light comes on. Thanks for any help.

Eh, well, it's like it shifts again? It doesn't slip because I'm still moving. The transmission just jerks on me. It's gotten more frequent lately. And, it dies sometimes when I'm at idle at a stoplight or whatever.

MAF!!!! MAF!!! MAF!!! Been there done that. Go get some throttle body cleaner and spray it on the sensors and clean them off with a q-tip, but be EXTREMELY careful. Do not bend or damage the sensors or you will be buying a new one. Mine did the same thing. it would jerk and ses light would come on. I am 99% sure thats your problem. Try it and let me know. the autozone scanner is a piece of crap. you can get an autoxray off the internet for 150 on ebay thats prolly what im gonna get. -Michael

I have a feeling it's a sensor malfunctioning somewhere. I should clean all of them?
