95 LT1 PCM in a 94 LT1?

I have two LT1 Formulas, and I want to get a mailorder tune on my 94, and so I wont have to spend money on a temporary PCM from MadZ28 I was thinking of putting my PCM from my 95 into my 94 for the meantime, would that be a problem? I know the two are a little different but would it hurt my 94? Oh, and both are automatics with 3.23 gears. And the 95 is stock and my 94 has mods but no previous PCM tuning.

if they are autos, I am not sure how the trans would act, since they added a wire and altered the programing from 94 to 95, the PCM hardware is the same, but the software was changed

The trannys are different, but the PCMs are both $EE, so I don't know if there is any major PCM difference.

Seems like if you are getting Ion to tune, you could just ask him about the PCM swap. He'd know better than almost anybody.

You could buy tunercat and a cable, $100, and then the tuning from Ion is $50 cheaper, so your net cost for tunercat is $50 which is a bargain. Then you would be able to swap the programs/PCMs around at will.
