94 z28 shorty headers?? Need ground clearance

So I own a 94 z28 in New Zealand and I’m looking at getting headers to support some engine work and was wondering about the difference in ground clearance compared to long tubes, I’ve looked for mid lengths and can’t find any still for sale and it’s hard to get here. Would custom headers be worth it? I’ve already scraped through my exhaust and now my car is running rich so I’ve stopped driving it but I want to get it back on the road, any recommendations?

I would stick with manifolds over shorty headers personally. I had a hell of a time with spark plugs and melting wires and saw minimal power gains. Wait for mids. Honestly good LTs are not that much worse than stock exhaust.

At this point keep the stock manifolds or go long tubes. There aren’t many good options left today.

Agree.... my JBA 1-5/8" shorties didn't do much, and in fact seemed to choke the engine at WOT/max RPM. The AS&M mid-lengths are great, but I doubt they are available any more. I'm pushing 800 HP through a set, although the collectors have been modified to accommodate a true dual setup.
