i used a brand new actron code scanner for a 94 z28. when i plugged it in and turned on the ignition it was just like normal. check engine light came on and went off like normal and thats it.

if i use the 93 test mode and just jump the two prongs it does the same thing. is there a special few that have a a special way to diagnose the codes or something?

 

the actron scanner will not work. all it does is jump the two pins just like a piece of wire would. to scan a 94 you have to use a data cable or a power programmer.
