I have a 94 Z28 with a shot motor, I am dropping in my 383 stroker, older engine block, and the motor mounts off the Z28 wont seem to let the engine go back far enough to mount to the mounts on the frame?? What do i do? Will they work or will I have to have them made custom? The engine isnt all the way back to the firewall yet, but it just seems we're gonna hit the firewall before the mounts match up. I just figured the older mounts wouldnt work so I decided to use the Z28 mounting brackets. If someone could help me out here I'd be very pleased. I'm a pretty good mechanic, but didnt count on the mounts not working. Maybe they will, it just seems I'm gonna run outta room before the mounts line up to be bolted on....
