94 Z/28...Which OBD used?

Which OBD? And what is the best way to scan for codes? Best way to read sensors dynamically? And the best way to reprogram the PCM?

Thanks in advance

94's were OBD I so the best way to scan and log is Datamaster. You can either use LT-1 Edit or Tunercat for programming.

To scan and repgrogram your car you will need an appropriate interface, like what's found at http://www.akmcables.com/ic.htm You can even build your own cable if need be!

Once you have a cable you can connect to the PCM with a PC. Now you need the software.

For diagnostic abilities you can even find free software, like this http://www.andywhittaker.com/ecu/ecu_software.htm
Hands down the best diagnostic software is TTS's Datamaster however, http://www.ttspowersystems.com/software.htm which is also sold by http://www.akmcables.com/dss.htm

For reprogramming the PCM there are two major applications, Tunercat http://www.tunercat.com/tnr_desc/do_tc.html and LT1_Edit http://www.carputing.com/ At this point I think Tunercat is a better buy, but each has its own pros/cons

Hope this helps
