Question 94 vs. 95 catalytic... any difference?

Hey all! Question about the exhaust on a 94 vs. a 95 Z28. Is there any difference at all between the catalytic converters? The situation:

I have a for-parts-only 94 Z28, and I have a 95 Z28 that is my car now. I'm wanting to put true dual exhaust on my 95, no y-pipe BS. I want to just pull the exhaust off the 94 and use the catalytic converter off that and as much pipe as possible to come back off the left cylinder bank and leave the stock piping and catalytic in the 95 connected to the right bank. Of course I'd have some x-piping welded in so it doesnt sound like crap. But I want to make sure the catalytics to be exactly the same thing so I dont have uneven backpressure. Thanks for any help on this one!

Btw, does anyone know any good mufflers that would both fit in where the huge factory one is now? I'd like a sound somewhat bolder than the factory system. Thanks!

...unless your 1995 happens to be a dual cat car.

...but I guess if it was, you would not be looking for another cat.
