94 opti re-install

hello everyone, johnny from south florida here with a quick question.
I am about to replace the front seals and gasket on the timing chain cover of my 1994 Z28. while there I will be replacing the timing chain for good measure. Now my understanding with this particular year is that there is no keyway (relocation slot) to re-install the optispark. After I position no. 1 cylinder @ TDC what else do I have to do to re-install the optispark correctly???

Yes, there is a keyway. Look carefully as you pull it off and put it back the same way.

It's not terribly hard to get it to line back up, just make sure it is. You can miss the keyway and feel like it's indexed, but when you tighten the bolts down it wont want to seat to the timing cover.
