94 manual firehawk
okay... I need help! I have a 94 firebird firehawk and it has a 112k miles on her. She's been starting up very rough and when i do get it started i get some white smoke along with a fuel smell and can't pinpoint my problem. After five mins or so it runs cherry. That was first problem with it. I drove it the other day to the gym parked it and then came back put and it wouldn't start, clutch in and turn the key i get a very un pleasant noise like something is grinding! I am praying that its just my starter and not my flywheel. Does any one have some advice for myself? Thanks

Where do you live? In extreme cold, it's normal to get white smoke on cold startup. It's just the water vapor, produced by burning gasoline, condensing.
Excessive fuel at startup can be related to the coolant tmep sensor, since that is what tells the PCM to enrich the A/F mixture for cold start. But if the sensor was indicating too low, it would seem to make it run worse when the engine warms up and the sensor is still indicating it's cold.
