94 iroc w 350Lt1 - drove it in changed plugs, wires,cap & rotor- no start.
Don't get it, after a basic t/up had a no start. rechecked and replaced cap rotor, and plugs and still notta. Fuel press good 47 psi, no codes but shows iac wide open and map at max. pulled map and pulled vaccum on map with vac pump, sacnner readings read correctly and car started and ran ok so but put map back in and won't start. shows only about 4" vac (manifold) while cranking. checked for vac leaks with carb spray and found nothing. wow is'ts a mystery to me. there is no cat and it ran fine coming in so what has happened? This is the opti distributor behind the water pump - so in order to change cap and rotor, had to pull the w/p. Is it possible antifreeze has contaminated the distributor? The dist. does not appear to be wet inside and everything looks fine in there. This distributor has key so can only go in oneway. Any ideas out there?

I assume you mean 94 Z28? When you say no start, how is it cranking? open spin, sputtering, start n stall? I know it sounds silly, but have you double-checked the plugs for order, and ensured everything is set up straight?

Welcome to the board. You should place your questions in the appropriate tech forum for better responses, however I am going to ask if the plug that goes into the opti from the top is all the way in (clicks)?
