94 Formula with 110mph speedo?

Was this ever done? There is a guy selling a 94 formula, and he sent pictures, one of them being of the gauges. The speedo only goes to 110 (or 115 if you count the extra line after 110)

Think it's legit? I don't know formulas, but both of my 94 Z28s have had the 150mph speedos...

Yes, any Formula, TA, or Z28 ordered without Z-rated tires from the factory got the lower marked speedo, there is also a speed limiter on those cars for obvious reasons.

Yes, it is legit. All of the f-body's in 94 had that as an option. Mine had it too. It means it has a speed limiter. When you hit 106mph the whole car starts shaking and slows down. My solution was to get te 150mph speedo(self recalibrating) and a hypertech programmer to take out the limiter.

Its normal, I think it came with the 2.73 geared, non z rated tire package.
