do the 1994's have a performance chip or module or does this thing just need to be programmed. do they sell any thing for it that is worth it and will help like a after market chip.

 

 

hypertech programmer and some other hand held programmers out there. but if your into serious modding then lt1 edit may be of some use to you. depepends on how much moddign your plannign on. no chips for 94 and up. you guys have a flashable pcm.

No removable chips one 94+ LT1s. Like Dan said, they do have (flash) chips, only they're soldered to the board and you upload to them via the communication port rather than programming them directly.

 

ok , well right now i only have exhuast , filter , pullies, shift kit. And iam trying to get every thing i can out of it before the bigger mods. I will be going with heads and cam , or super charged with roller rockers but not sure yet. but this will be inb a year or two from now.

 

what about the jet performance stage 2 chip/ module, its $240 AND IT SAYS IT ADDS 18-24 HP AND 20 FT/LB

 

Jet modules are crap and won't add anywhere near the claim. (and no, I am not saying this because I do custom tuning. Just ask on the board about them....)
If you need a tune, I will guarantee a 13-15 RWHP (which is about 18 HP at the flywheel) for a third of the JET's price.

I belive you , now about your work, what can you do to get 18hp out of my car that is pretty much stock, only mods are , 3" flow master exhuast, k&n filter, pullies and shift kit. what would i need to do so you can program my car, would i pull the ecm and send it to you or something. what is the cost to do this, if you say you ca get close to 18 hp out of my car iam up for it, i just dont get how you do this, is it in the timing or something [ sorry iam new to these] iam a turbo buick guy -put the chip in and go

 

It's really all in the timing and fuel. Stock programs are pretty aggressive, but if you're willing to try there is hp to be had.
If Ion can guarantee the wot performace, this is a no-lose situation because I would guarantee your car will run and drive better under all conditions...not just wot.

I might have the money in a week or so but i reall would like to have this done, I see what you are saying with the fuel and timimg, all i run in the car now is 93 so i could get more power from the timimg as long as theres no knock.
