94-95 macs vs 96-97 macs

just wondering if theres a huge difference other then the y pipe and dual cats, like is the header itself different, if so by how much?

That's uncalled for.

They aren't really different...just that 96+ headers are made for dual cat cars. You'll need 93-style headers to properly mate to your emissions components.

Dude, thats why they put a LT1 tech section, to help people out. What's up your a$$

I wouldn't think there's any difference with the headers, just the y pipe itself

what was wrong with that guy?

yeah id like to know if theres a enough of a HP difference to matter.

also the macs im thinking bout getting has a huge y pipe on it with no cats, is there a way i can put one cat on it and pass the sniffer? i dont need the rest of the emmisions crap just need to pass the sniffer with the cat.

you can always have a cat welded in but mac does offer headers with high flow cats already on them

i just need the cat bolted in for the emmisions test i dont plan on using the cat all the time. i took a look at the ones i may be getting and it looks like i can have a ORP made for it.

but the headers themselves are a 96 style so i think the one side is smaller to make room for the dual cat. is there a significant hp loss from this style? the y pipe has no cats and is supposedly for a single cat style headers.
