93z28 vs 94z28?

i ran a 94 z28 the other night and lost by about 4-5 car lengths because im running on street tires and he was on drag radials, they tried to argue me that....
his 94 z28 with a new 4.11 gear and nittos would beat my car with nittos.. who do u think would win? (mods in signature)

a lot of people tell me the air density does not respond well to mods and if he beat by 4-5 lenghts i dont think its jus cuz he had radials. but i could be way off jus my .02

14.49 is kind of a weak time... hopefully that was before all your mods? I've heard varying things about '93 vs 94-97 and there seem to be proponents on both sides of the argument.... in truth I think the cars vary.

good luck,

Michael

With his gearing I think he will rip you out of the hole every time. Especially judging from your 1/4 time in your sig. it seems you need a little practice yet with launching with your mods (no flame intended) I think if you can get a good launch he's still going to take you pretty good off the line but you should slowly catch up and pass him as long as theres enough road. Just my opinion but I think he's gonna take you unless your racing over a 1/4mile length.

Even with your mods seeing his gearing and tires I still think he's going to rip you out of the hole. Unless your new tires are also Nitto DRs or better. I use to be able to smoke my tires through 1st and mostly through 2nd. Now with my Nittos I can launch hard and hardly spin at all in 1st and they just chirp into 2nd. The car just hooks and goes compared to before.

stock vs stock and mod for mod they should run similar, all cars perform differently though....93 is slightly different but not performance wise

well if this is when ur car was basically stock i think the only thing u should worry is ur launch a lot of people mess up launches and have to play catch up when indeed their car produces more power and should be faster but with the mods u r pushin i think out the gate he has u but i think u will gain ground fast.
