93 Z, has fuel, no spark. Even changed opti

The car cranks fine. Plenty of fuel pressure. No recent bolt ons. It just died while driving. Water pump was leaking onto so we thought it was the opti. The garage we took it to even said it was the opti. We bought a new GM one, 500 bucks, a new water pump, swapped the coill, checked the fuses, checked the wiring. Still can't get a spark. We had another coil laying around. Does the ICM and coil come off as one piece?
We need to check the pulse from the opti to PCM tomorrow. If there is a pulse to the PCM and an improper signal from the PCM to the ICM, obviously it's a problem with the PCM. If this is the case, aren't 93 PCMs different than later years?
Any help is greatly appreciated. We're at a loss here.

Thanks

hope my diagram is teh same for a 93...

check the green wire at the coil for a pulsing ground while cranking and the pink wire for hot with key on...

at teh ICM check the pink wire for hot with key on and ground on the black wire...

if you are getting hot and the pusing ground at the coil and still no spark chage the coil..

i would check coil, or if you have an aftermarket ignition bypass it and then check it....the opti could of been installed wrong too if u just did it, or just been faulty, some people go through a few after a little bit it seems like

i think you paid alot for that opti too....you can get better deals on this message board or www.gmpartsdirect.com
