the 93 has the stud on the throttle lever for the T/V cable hook-up from the 4L60 trans(700R4), the 94+ do not have the stud, since they had the electronically shifted 4L60E

The throttle linkage is completly different. Even the angle of the blades in the throttle body bore is different. The 93 is basically a homogilation of a TPI throttle body and a LT-1 throttle body. Very bastardized before they got things right.

Also the IAC valve in the bottom plate is different so the whole plate is different too. If you used a 93 connector and connected it to the 94 wiring, it will work. (if you don't have the plates to switch around) The wire colors are the same too.

wow, I can't believe that thing is so much different. I have a 93 I am trying to sell, I had a buyer that has a 95. I trying to find out, I didn't want to rip him off and just sell it to him.

Anyone want to buy it? It has 50mi on it.

thank for the replys guys. basically it sounds like it would take some modification to make it work. It almost sounds like if it were a 6-speed car it would be fairly easy swap. But then mabey I'm wrong.

Even on a 6 speed car, the tip in will be off. You probably wont have too much trouble, but if you did, it would be a headache and a half.

Re: 93 Throttle Body on 94+ cars?? whats diff?

I have a 94 engine with a 93 throttle body and a 94 bottom plate/iac valve running a 93 computer right now (but switching to a 94 soon).

I have no problems with mine. The 94 valve seems to work perfect with the 93 tb and the TP sensors are the same. Throttle/idle related tables are close too so I don't think you'd have a problem using that 58mm on your 93 6 speed. Just install your 93 bottom plate on it.
