93 m29 vs 94+ M6 should I trade?

Tom, keep the 93 tranny they are badass. You will come out of the hole much harder with a good tire on there and 4th will still pretty much rap out the same as a 94+ tranny.

I will say this though. The built 95 T-56 in my Purple Pearl car is NICE. Too bad it needs gears. It just doesn't go well with a 3.23 rear. I just like the close ratio of the M29 personally. Third gear.....wheeeeeeeeeeeee! I like the 1.43 ratio in that one.

How about this?? Build up a M28. Come out of the hole with a 3.36 first!!!

Turns out i have a M29 in my 93. with stock gearing, how fast should i be able to go in first and second? I know i can test it myself, i just dont like pushing it on the street after the torque starts to flatten. it scares the neighbors, and since the car is red i must be breaking a few laws, right.

I plan on autocrossing the car, thats why im asking what seems like a stupid question.

Also, lemme get this straight. the M29 is the same as the viper T56, or did gm do mods to the trannys they bought from chrysler?

Here you can figure out where you will be and how fast you can go.

AFAIK, the M29 is internally the same as the Viper. Externally I'm not sure if there was anything done.
