Stick with the 3.23's. You should be fine with those. That's what I'm running, and plan to run when I get a 12 bolt to compliment my heads/cam combo.

4.10's in a 93 would be too much with the steeper gearing in the manual tranny, not to mention the lost fuel economy from driving around with the engine running at xxxx rmp higher. At the most go with the 3.73's, but is it really necessary for better et's? There's more than a handful of guys out there that have LOST time with a gear swap. Traction is another issue.

4.10s on a 93 transmission are a total waste, no offense. we had a local guy that went 3.23s to 4.10s first gear lasted for like a second and then he was in second. he ended up switching back. but hey you may like it, but traction will be a issue and around town will make the first gear useless. then you can say you got a 5 speed

Believe it or not my Gas mileage stayed exactly the same with the 3.73...

but ive been told that i have a 94 transmisson,so im not sure, and, im just saying, that i know alot of people around town that have lt1s and 3 of them went from 3.42 to 3:73 and they now all have 4.10, but 2 of them have 12 bolts.cause we all know, the stock rear wont hold up at the track for too long

who told you have a 94 transmission? your gear box is more similar to the 94+ but your gears are not the same.

M28 M29 94+
3.36 2.97 2.66 1st gear
2.07 2.07 1.78 2nd gear
1.35 1.43 1.30 3rd gear
1.00 1.00 1.00 4th gear
0.80 0.80 0.74 5th gear
0.62 0.62 0.50 6th gear

make your decision, but i wouldnt go over 3.73s with your tranny.

I would go with 3.73s. I would also do the 1.6rr, they really help boost the top end. Look into an Ajustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (AFPR) on thunderracing.com. Some people will say it won't work because the computer will adjust for it, but the 1993 is to stupid to know the difference. I alos found that my TB wasn't opening all the way (same on my frined's 1993 Z28) so check it. Just have someone got to WOT with the intake elbow off and see if the TB butterflys open up to 90 degrees. If it dosen't then use washers to tighten up the top cable on the right of the TB, that is your throttle linkage. God I love the 1993s!
