93 LT1 Fuel Rail Question.

I have done multiple searches looking for a tutorial on replacement of my injectors. Found helpful things... Except even after Injuneer pointed out in one that the 93 has fixed plumbing from the fpr to the fuel rail. So... how do I disconnect the plumbing? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Re: 93 LT1 Fuel Rail Question.

Use a fuel line disconnect tool to disconnect the soft lines from the rail. Remove the four bolts holding it down then pop it up and off. Obviously you'll need to bleed the pressure out first for safety sake.

What is wrong with your injectors that they need replacing?

might want to replace the o-rings while you are there. Your local auto parts store should have them.

Are these lines on the back right side of the motor? How many exactly are there? Any pics? I've used an inspection mirror and light to look behind and see 2 brass? hardlines...

Re: 93 LT1 Fuel Rail Question.

New injectors (usually) come with new o-rings.

You're looking too hard!

Check this picture:

The fuel lines (two of them, one feed and one return) come out of the thick bundle above the drivers side wheel well and enter the intake manifold in the center/middle of the fuel rail. You can clearly see the two lines just behind the throttle body to the right in the picture.

Wow! Ok... Thank you for pointing the obvious to me... For some reason I thought I had to disconnect the fpr...

Re: 93 LT1 Fuel Rail Question.

You still haven't answered the question though. Why are you replacing them in the first place? Trying to save you some unnecessary expense...

Re: 93 LT1 Fuel Rail Question.

I apologize. Pulled them, incompetent shop destroyed them so I got new ones.
