93 LT1 Chips

Hey guys,
My Dad has a 93 Z28 with the LT1 and a 6 speed. He was interested in getting a chip for it. From my experience chips can be a waste of money depending on the aplication. Have you guys had any succes or noticeable improvements with this aplication. Basically I dont want to waste money if it's not worth it.

If there are minimal mods done to the car, it is not worth it. I did mine after I did the Hotcam and alot of bolt-on's all at once. It really did pick up after the chip. Get ahold of the guy at www.pcmforless.com Highly recommended! check out the speed density forums also http://sdf.mogmhp.com

I also went with Hypertech (cause I found a guy that ordered the wrong one for his car, but was right for mine the price was right). I also installed the 160 powerstat and, with the two, noticed increase in mid and upper range. It was worth it to me.

Thanks for the input. He does have a couple mods but nothing to big. Just Borla cat back, and K&N Intake with the TB airfoil.
