93 Guys that have used this tranny give me your opinions.

http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/Chev...ions/4L60.html

I was looking at using this transmission when this tranny I have goes out.
Long story short, when my original 4L60 went out I had a guy rebuild it, the TC hasn't locked up since I got it back. I blow it up, after about 3 months, and when I go to find him he is gone with out a trace.

So I take it the next guy who tells me the reason why the TC never locked up was because the first guy actually swapped it out for an earlier style 4L60

He didn't know where it came from, and he went thru the tranny and rebuilt it but I have never been happy with his service or his work, the transmission just feels crappy, and I have had it back to him MANY times for this and that. So finally I am tired of screwing with these type of people and the next time This transmission goes out I am thinking about the tranny in the link, what do you guys think about it?

I know I can get a more heavy duty tranny for less else where but I read somewhere it has a 3 yr / 50K warranty, and its GM so I feel confindent in this one, and it seems to be a direct bolt in, and the stall is included.

What do guys you think?

All opinions are very appreciated.

these guys guarantee a 3500 race weight 11.0 timeslip capability... i love their tranny....

but, be sure and i mean be sure to speak with steve and several people about our special one year bastard child of a transmission...the first time they sent me the 4 pin connector 700r4 tranny valve body(we have a round 5-pin)...so i had to send it back with my valve body...you may have to do the same...send them your valve body with all the tc switch and electrical connections... there customer service was superb....when i do the stroker... im taking the tranny out and sending it to them to freshen it up...i know it will cost a bit in shipping...but imop, well worth the money spent...

EVERYONE says they can build a 4-speed auto to handle so much power...but it never does ..i have been abusing this one and it keeps coming back for more....

this is my .02... worth... i think it was 1500 bucks or so...maybe a little more..not sure...but im a happy camper..by the way ..i spray the ****e out of it on 11.5 et streets...

Thats was another reason I was thinking about that one. The fact that its a tranny made for 93s.

I don't have the time to fight getting it right, and send it back etc....
