My temperature has been going up 260 is this normal.I heard these cars run hot.Also was thinking it might be the thermostat thats sticking.The temperature will go up when the car is idleing.

 

The engine should idle near the middle of the gauge (~210-220*F). 260*F is past the red zone, which should tip you off to being too hot. The first fan should come on at 226*F and the second fan at 235*F. Is that happening? Have you checked the accuracy of the coolant temp sensor in the head, the one used for the dash gauge?
