Question 93 Cam swap and electric water pump with cloyes double roller timing chain question.

I am going to do a nice sized cam (GM 846) and im wondering what it takes to get the cloyes double roller chain and the meziere water pump mod to work on the 93s seeing as how it doesn't have vented opti. Will I have to convert to the new opti and all the other stuff that comes with this mod?

Maybe im just not understanding it but if someone could show me a tech article on a 93 swap to a 94-97 cam with the clotes double roller and electric water pump mod I would appreciate it.

Yes, you need to upgrade the optispark to a '95+ and the timing cover to a 1995 timing cover.

If I did the GM 846 cam swap what would I need to swap it into a 93 LT1?

the cam probably isn't different than any other SBC hydraulic roller cam. You will need a shorter dowel pin if you keep the '93 optispark and the cam is for a '95-'97. If you go with the '95 opti you won't need to do anything different with thecam than you would in any other fourth gen f-body.
