93 blowing air pump fuse
Pull the electrical connector off the pump. Put a good fuse in it. That will tell you if you have a problem with the wires. If the fuse doesn't blow, connect the AIR pump and start the car. If the fuse blows, there's a good chance the pump has rusted up and is getting hard to turn. The early models also had a problem with undersized wires, so there is just too much resistance when the AIR pump starts to sieze up.
You might also want to check the black, conical check valves that keep exhaust gas from blowing back into the AIR pump. If these valve start to leak, it will just speed up corrosion of the AIR pump, when the water vapor on the exhaust starts to condense in the pump.
There was a recall for the AIR pumps on the 95 and up models only.... not for us 93 and 94 owners.
