TB bypass for one...there's several free mods out there that a simple search would uncover.

descreening the MAF, but you will get mixed opinions on this one (as well as the TB Bypass).

The TB Bypass mod has been dyno proven to pick up a few extra horses. Aside from that, there are no others I would waste my time on, especially descreening the MAF sensor.

Well, I guess you could index your plugs, but it's bad enough just changing them, so I guess that would be stupid. What you need to think about are those things that aren't necessarily "free" but which provide the best bang for the buck, especially those things that don't cost "much".

e.g., stonger springs, better air filter (exposed) good quality plugs, 160 stat with mail order tune, etc. JMHO

Please don't descreen your MAF. There are mixed opions on this but there are also facts why it's a bad idea for our cars.
If for some reason you do decide to do it, at the very very least remove the Clip holding it in and take out the filter piece.. do not hack it because I can guarantee soon after you may develop a problem with the car and you'll never be able to rule out your hacked up MAF

Apparently Brian at pcm4less is giving the go ahead on descreening. So if you're planning on getting a mail order tune call up the tuner (or email) and ask if you're better off with a screened or descreend MAF with their tune. My guess would be Brian is simply tuning out the MAF when you tell him its descreened but I can't be certain. What is certain though is descreening it without a tuner providing a tune that they say will work with a descreened MAF is asking for trouble.

if you were at the track or about to race u can ice down the fuel rails and intake. i saw a test where they picked up .2 tenths in the quater in a stock ls2 gto

i was thinking about the tb bypass myself but i dont think its worth much of anything

if emissions are not a concern gut the cat

if you have a dremel sharpen the blades in the throttle body and polish the inside

lose spare/jack or junk in the backseat/truck

air down tires or at least make sure they have even pressure

thats about all i can think of for now. hopefully one of those can help
