i have a 95 z28 vert that gets 200 miles per tank if i drive like a baby and 170 if i play around. It has a fresh tune up (new oil, new plug wires, new plugs yada yada) and the engine only has 24,000 miles on it......

I average 240-270 with probably 65% city 35% highway driving. Car in the sig. when it was stock. I am desperate need of a tuneup. Get better mileage after cutout and CAI but I haven't driven it much lately so I can't give you a reference. I know it's more though. I went on a 4 hr each way road trip with two 6ft+ adult males, two 5'7 adult females and enough clothes to dress an army in the back and averaged 320 a tank. That was with some city driving and a couple 100+mph spurts.

Edit: Forgot to mention. Yes you can get Z's with leather from those years. Mine has all black interior including black leather. My leather isn't the stuff that's stiched like every inch or so either. I don't like the looks of that very much. Mine looks very good.

SS Impy's are nice. Keep in mind though, they are much heavier, have less hp(I think they're just not tuned as well, might be the same as F-bodies though), and get worse gas milege. Add to that the lack of performance associated with all of the above and about double the price tag or more of a same year Z with the same miles. I would love to have an Impy for my daily driver. Think of all the people you could fit in that beast for bar hoppin' or road trips, heck anything. And you'd still have LT1 power under the hood. A few mods and it's time to stun F-body owners.

Has an LT1 under the hood doesn't it. Besides this site isn't for just Camaro's. Look at all the firebird(same thing anyway) & mustang guys around here. Not to mention all the 100's of other cars people own that post on here.

P.S. Black Cherry SS's are pimp.

If you are super worried about mpg, stick w/ a 6 speed. I want one so bad it's killin me!

Right now I'm averaging 14.5 - 13 mpg w/ all the mods in my sig. course, I don't have the aerodynamics ya'll do, and that is with my foot constantly in it, I'm sure I could get 16-17 if I drove it like a normal human being, but that's not what it's intended for.

If you want fuel economy and an lt1 car, go with a 6 speed in stock trim. I have a few mods, full exauhst, filter, shifter, and the freebies. I normally get 230-260 in city and 400 on road trips.
