90mm MAF/ Lid conversion on a LT1??
The LS1's benefit from a 90mm lid, MAF and TB. So would a LT1 benefit from a 90mm LS1 lid, 90mm SLp MAF and a AS&M TB??
Note I have converted my lt1 elbow to a ls1 style straight setup.

I will be changing the MAF tables in my pcm for the ls1 MAF table values (ls1 values because SLP sells a 90mm MAF already calibrated for LS1, so i dont have to program for LS2 values)
How much cfm can a LT1 MAF flow?? The AS&M tb flows around 1100cfm. Would the maf become more restrictive before the tb?? (I know the intake is restrictive , we all know that)
Is there any hp to be found in changing/converting these things???

Re: 90mm MAF/ Lid conversion on a LT1??
Its never going to hurt, but I doubt with where you are you will gain much.
You may want to read about zo6 maf (search) to find out some of the drawbacks about doing a 85mm MAF on Lt1s.
A descreened stock lt1 maf flows 979cfm, 759cfm with screen at 28 inches
A stock 85mm Zo6 maf flows 1202 cfm at 28 inches
Your restriction is going to be the air filter.

There is definitely HP in higher power applications. Exactly how much I can't tell you, but hopefully I'll know in the next week or two. I currently am running a stock descreened LT1 MAF on my car and am switching to a speed density tune with MAF removed. We'll see how it does. I've heard that the stock maf is somewhere around 800-900cfm. Don't know that for a fact. My TB is 1300cfm so it isn't the problem. Will keep everyone posted on the results.

What kind of drawbacks??
What air filter, i dont run one at the track. I have a fast toys style ram air as well.

Well normally a KN filter (unless you go JUMBO) wil be the biggest restriction in the intake tract, since you dont run one...
The main thing with ls1/6 MAFs is the way they are scaled. Check this out.
http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hlight=zo6+maf
After that, just type Zo6 MAF in search, way more info than i could offer.
Overall by that post you can see I like the MAF, but theres a time and a place, some setups it will work for, some it wont.
