is 9.8 enough for a 355 i would like 10.5 to 1 but if 9.8 just sound low. i found some piston that would make a 355 have 9.8. what would be the down side to 9.8 over say 10.5 to 1

my intentions are NOT to have a blower motor. so should i past this up and keep looking

Stock CR is about 10.5:1, I would go a little higher if its going to be a motor car.

 

I'm running 11:1 on pump gas just fine. You should aim for 10.5-11:1 if it is going to be all motor.

 

too low man...... pass it up and get sumthin else...

 

Shoot for 11:1, possibly even a little more if you're running a long duration cam. 9.8 is forced induction territory on an LT1.
