Go ahead and do it. Its only a few extra bucks and a few extra minutes. What if you don't get to do your heads in a few months?

I believe they are only about 20 bucks it would be a good idea to put them in while you are there.

I have this old bike I've been restoring for a LONG time now here and there. That fricken' thing has burned me more than once when I decided to skip over a $5 part or seal I could have changed while I was inside the motor. 'nuff said..

GM part numbers are different for intake and exhaust. I got a set of viton seals from Combination Motorsports when I did my [free ]springs and they were all the same. I think most aftermarket ones are the same.

I am planning on getting the felpros, do you know if they are vitan? The first place i called for them said they had the intake ones in stock but not the exhaust ones. The other place i called said they only carry intake ones 16 of themn to be exact, but there is no part number in thier system for the exhaust ones. i think its strange.so the gm ones are exactly the same? why would they use different part numbers for them then? One more thing, you registered in 1970? and have over 10,000 posts? Is that for real????Has this site been here that long? Thats insane!lol

for 93 LT1 GM ones are the same. For 94-97 intake and exhaust valve seals are different. The exhaust ones are red in color.

The GM seals are as Blk94Z28LT1 said. I don't know why some are the same and others are different. I am sure the Felpros are decent seals, but don't know about the viton content.

This is from the site help page:
Why is my registration date of 1969 / 1970?

People who did not have a registration date back on the old UBB Message board were automatically given a default date when their user information was imported into our new Vbulletin.
The post count is for real. The crazy thing is it did not take me 30 years to get that many, LOL! Sorry, I don't have a real life. There are people with more posts than me (I'm not racing anyone ). 99.9% of mine are in the LT1 forum.
