#8, I get from the bottom by putting a spark plug socket on it and turning it with a wrench. If your arms are big, you might have to drop the starter.

Yeah I've had to do it with a wrench and it takes forever.. I zip tied my wires out of the way and put heat shields on the wires closest to the headers..

Here is the trick... (Without dropping the y-pipe)
  • Get your car up on ramps.
  • Disconnect the battery terminal.
  • Remove the 2 starter bolts, and move the starter aside.
Now you can easily get to the 3 rear spark plugs on the passenger side, save a lot of time and Band-Aids too!

You want the trick? Drop it off at the dealer and pick it up in an hour when it's done.

True, but I think the dealers caught on. From some of the posts on here, the dealers and shops are charging a good amount to do a LT1 plug change.

Before I put my headers on I could reach my #8 by putting my hand behind the oil dipstick and just going to it that way. Not real hard at all. And no I am not the worlds smallest guy (6' 2'' 210lbs).
