I'm cautious of any company that promotes the fact they include "free decals" as if it adds to the value of whatever theyre selling

If your looking to buy a new tranny, check out "RAPTOR" Transmissions

They've got some seriously heavy duty 700R4 transmissions.

I'll eventually have the money. Just as soon as I'm finished paying off all my credit card debt's

Yeah, I know that $1600 (for the top model) is a lot for a tranny but you know what they say. "You get what you pay for". I looked at the link you provided and saw the tranny your interested in. What do I think? Your guess is as good as mine. That's the best answer I can give you. I know that's not what you were hoping to hear but I'm being honest. The price is good and reading the description, it looks (on paper) like it's a pretty solid tranny. What I'm a little weary on is the fact that they aren't providing any HP and Torque numbers their tranny's can handle. Raptors transmision's are built in 4 different levels. Each level can handle x amount of power. You pick what'll suit your needs.

The way I see it, we're talking about a new tranny here. If durability is a serious priority to you then just save up the $$ and go for the Raptor. That way you won't have to worry about killing that eBay trans. the next time you race. The last thing you want to do is spend a lot of money on a part only to have it break on you. You'll be kicking youself in the *** saying "Man, I wish I had saved up the money and picked up that Raptor"
Know what I mean?

It's your call.

Ps. what are your goals for your car anyways? 11's? 10's? Do you even need a whole new tranny?

Man, when you said you were interested in getting a new tranny, I was thinking you had (or planned to build) a low 11- high 10 second race car.

Mid 12's? trust me you don't need a new tranny. I've been running mid-11's @ 117+ on my "bottle fed" Firebird for 2 straight years with no problems. You should be just fine. Just pick up a B&M shift kit, tranny cooler (very important) and a deeper trans pan (holds more fluid-keeps it running cooler) and add a good lock-up converter. I hear good things about Yank and Vigalanti.

Upgrade your 700R4 with these parts and you'll have NO trouble at all.

Don't worry about it

Ps. I always like to change my tranny fluid ever spring. It'll help prong tranny life.

I reccomend you do the same.
