i have the guideplates and such, and to me it sounds like a sewing machine like usual. There does seem to be one rocker louder than the rest. I am just going to keep readjusting them until my knock is gone I guess...

On a side note, installing the rocker studs with LE1 heads I probably need to pull the heads dont I? I dont want any of the crap getting in the head and since the ports go through on those holes shouldn't I take off the heads to be safe? I wanted to install new ARP ones ( I still have the stock studs in there ) because on a few the threads are a little sticky and cant really tell why. I figure install the new studs, adjust them while not running first (this means pulling all the damn spark plugs huh), check install height of pushrods, and replace header gaskets (shorty mac headers mean I have to pull headers for spark plugs because I dont like looking like I was in a bar fight every time I do spark plugs).

What else could I do that would quiet this thing up for my dyno on monday? I am about to move it back if I dont get rid of this knock.

cant a bad lifter make noise also? I know the LT4 valvecovers were composite and muffle some noise better. Also get the LT4 desensitized knock module if you have not yet.

I have the lt4 knock module and I am afraid that that is the knock problem. I have read posts lately about them causing around 5deg of knock at idle and they fixed it with the LT1 knock module. I am about to buy one, have been everywhere in town but the wreckyard, so I am about to go there to find the LT1 knock module just to make sure. Other than that, I dont know how to get rid of this other than adjusting the RR's until there is 0 knock at idle? That is where I am going to try tomorrow.

I have heard of some say that it does cause them problems. I have had mine in with no knock. I would swap and see if your problem changes at all. How are you reading your knock BTW?
