58 mm Throttle body on stock car
58 mm Throttle body on stock car
Would it hurt to run one on a stock car? I mean I am spraying it, but the reason I ask is that I found one cheap on Ebay and was thinking about getting it. Thanks!
it wont help but is worth buying at a steal if u think u might need it down the road....like if u are planning on building a 383+ci motor with heads and cam then go for it...somepeople re program the ecu once a bigger throttle body but not sure if u actually need to
If you have an auto, you may need to get the pcm re-programmed. I never looked too far into it, but there are some pcm tables that rely on TPS% to set the line pressure. Any of the mail order guys should be able to do it.
Also you are going to loose some fidelity in your gas pedal -- for the same gas pedal input you are now going to get a bigger opening in the TB.

kinda on the same page i was wondering what kind of increase would somebody get if they installed a ported intake (58mm tb opening + ported runners) and a 58mm tb??? I planned on throwing all these things on when I get my heads and cam, but Im getting kind of tired of waiting.... Would I see any gains?
