555r's or 3.42s or MAC headers

Nitto 555r's: Will use only at the track, and maybe just on friday & saturday nights
3.42s: Currently have 2.73s, but will be on all street tires
or
MAC Headers: Gain a couple tenths

i would either do gears or headers first. No need for the tires because with the 2.73's you don't need the extra traction

Close call between the headers and gears....but I would go with the gears.

That's a tough call for me too. But I think I'd do headers first.

Get gears first. Anybody who has or had 2.73's will probably tell you to do gears first. The 40mph dead spot is gone. My car pulls wicked hard now at 40mph, but I do have 3.73's.

Yeah thats why I said gears....if you had 3.23 gears I would have said headers. I would go on up to the 3.73s unless you plan on a power adder later down the road in which case the 3.42s would be better.

If you do gears, don't forget that you need a new reluctor ring if you change to a 3-series carrier. I didn't and the darn ABS light is on. SLP has then for like $30 I think.

My vote would be to do gears and go with 3.73's instead of 3.42's

Gears and then headers, after those two you'll need the tires.
