5300 RPM stutter?

Well, for about the past month I've noticed that *occasionally* I'd have a tiny miss right at the top of 2nd gear at around 5300rpm. It misses for a split second then its back at full power. Less than a fraction of a second. Well, a week ago I had #7 wire arcing. Replaced that. Car ran a lot better, but still there. So I replaced #7 cylinder with a new Delco wire, and Autolite platinum plug.

Still missed at that rpm every now and then. So I bought MSD wires, NGK Iridium IX plugs, and replaced all of them. Smoothed out the whole engine a LOT (I reccomend these plugs to anyone) but the miss is still there but it seems like its not as frequent(?). I am thinking it could possibly be the coil?

Again, the miss is just for a split second at 5300rpm or so. Right after it misses its back in action. Just a little hiccup. No big deal, I just wanna kinda fix it.

BTW: This is a new 8,500 mile motor with a new Opti with the same mileage. (Installed by dealer) New MSD wires, NGK Iridium plugs (installed by me) New Fuel Filter (Installed by dealer) Original injectors, fuel pump, original coil (to my knowledge).

I concur. The coil wire needs to be purchased separately. Also be prepared to replace the coil next if the wire does not correct the problem.

I'm confused though, since my MSD wire set came with a 9th wire which had a 45 degree boot on one end which exactly matched another wire. We replaced what looked like the wire coming out of the top of the opti with this wire and it was a perfect fit.
