Certainly not a 'major' gain.. Wouldn't hurt anything, but at the point you're at with you're mods, it really shouldn't be too high on the old priority list. About the most I'd do right now is get a TB foil if you're hell bent on improving anything wrt the induction.

you're.. your, I hate when people do that.. The jkipp84 that posted above you must've been distracted by tax forms.

Anyway, I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you want a suggestion as to what you should get instead or what situation might benefit from a 52?

Once you get into heads & cam, etc, then you might see some more substantial benefits from the larger TB. There has been a lot of discussion on this board over the years as to whether the larger TB's are of any use at all.. If you do some searches, you'll see what I'm talking about. Some folks can get rather excited about the topic.

I'd definitely go with a 52mm TB if you do decide to go with a H/C. Last I checked the stock ported TB's were only $150 from NOMAD, but I really don't know if they do that sort of work anymore...

If your only other choice is one of the $300 ones, save your money until you need it...but if you can find a stock 48mm TB ported to 52mm, spend the $100-$150 for it...

I got mine from NOMAD back when they had a few on eBay, over a year and a half ago. It's worked beautifully!

Does Nomad even post anymore. I wouldn't mind getting my TB bored out.

I just had my stock TB bored out to 52mm by David Koldos for $199; which included a sealed bearing and the airfoil was match bored at the same time. I heard nothing but positive comments from previous purchaser's of David's work. I picked mine up last week; I'm in the middle of installing headers and a y-pipe and haven't finished the job yet. David's email address is dkoldos@ameritec.net. He can forward info to you from past customers.

Yep, I'm here. Busy working on project cars and such. I try to not post too much in regards to 52mm throttle body purchases since I am not a site sponsor.
