52mm tb worth it with mods

ok i have 95z28, 218/224 cam, 1.6 rockers, mid tube headers, k&n cai, chromolly pushrods, highflowcat, straightpipe back rest of the way, lt4 knock module, 2200stall, 3.73 gears, would a 52mm throttle body be worth putting on w/ tb bypass before i have car dyno tuned? what do you think also wht fwhp would look like with these mods so far, also descreened maf, since it will be tuned thought might as well to get most airflow

also with cam only engine was rated 340hp/385tq at fw

I strongly believe a 52 would be an excellent bolt on for your mods.
why not check it out on the dyno and find out how much?

I say, why not give it a shot. It was only $150 to have my stocker ported to a 52mm.

well its getting tuned thursday, part will come wed, and i'll just do a tb bypass while im at it, since it would be all off, flp told me maybe 5rwhp, cost for part to performance might not be worth it, loydd elliot said about 10hp fw maybe, its not like its a hard thing to swap out i guess

I am going to go against the grain here and say with your mods I don't think you'll pick up any HP with the 52mm TB.

It certainly can't hurt, especially if you don't mind spending the $ to have yours ported. I did it because I did not want to think about it any more and it was well worth the $160 investment.

Like was said above it won't hurt anything and maybe a gain. It would be interesting to do a back to back dyno test.

Yeah as most have told you the 52mm would probably give you around 5-10 as you have been told it would be worth the money as you will also have a little quicker throttle response if you buy one rather than have yours ported.

well since that long ago i had returned throttle body and waited, wound up having a napa store manager sell me a un used holley 52mm throttle body for 50 bucks cause it wouldnt work with his 3rd gen custom intake fuel injection system ... still need retune, switched to pacesetter longtubes and ory with lm2 muffler to get alittle backpressure.. hope this all gains more hp, just deciding on what to do with bigger torque converter or not

first dyno tune was 273rwho, 300rwtq, this was before lt headers, slp lm2 muffler, tb bypass, 52mm throttle body. new hp was 310rwhp, 340rwtq... having tq converter put on in a week, just need to find right size now.
