500rwhp is my goal also. i think the key is awesome low/mid lift heads(afr w/big valves), awesome exhaust #'s!, longer runner intake with matched runner angles (sheetmetal). mid duration high lift cam. liteweight liteweight liteweight.... upgraded ignition coil packs or custom rear dist. an upgraded ecm is a big + but not required. oh and HEADERS! more performance gained 40rwhp from there $2900 race headers that you could have made w/ hookers by good custom exhaust guy for about $300-400

joe overton put together a stock bottom end combo that dynoed 457rwhp on a dynojet (afr 195 heads, ported lt4 intake, lite valvetrain and custom cam) from what jimlab and more performance have told me i think there is 50hp to be made from a sheetmetal intake. and there you go 500rwhp.

also "the opti is a big weak point" comparing lt1-ls1

oh and im on my way to makeing 420rwhp 400rwtq with box cnc afr195's, shelf cam..

I am hoping to get the rest of my parts together.

If I do we are shooting for 525-550RWHP with a stock PCM.

Brodix heads, Hogins intake and 383 are on the menu. Not sure how it will take the fogger after that.

I can think of two that are not posting here shooting on the order of 600+RWHP here in Washington state. I know one of them has heads on the order of 360 Intake with a fairly low volume on his 396LT1. The block is rocked and he is going to shoot a 300 shoot into it.

The other one is runing a "Thumper"

There are some nasty cars hanging around here. Not all of them want people to know

I just hope to finish mine after getting married and buying a house LOL

Who would this be?

BTW, here's a view down the "business end" of my Hogan's intake...

My 215cc raised runner heads flow in the mid 330s, and Brian (B&B Performance) said that with the ignition problem resolved (see dyno sheet below), the engine is in the 660-670 range as-is, and he estimated 680-700 after tuning, based on what they saw on the dyno and the richness of the fuel map on those pulls.

Dyno sheet... the Opti-spark was to blame for the big dips in power.

I'm assuming that 570+ RWHP is not going to be a problem.
