500hp combo ?

What's it take to make 500 LT1 horses at the flywheel? (excluding the bottom end) that's a given.
Specs on:
Heads
Intake
TB
Cam

for the street or just for the track?
injected? stock style LT intake?
basically a whole lot of money will get you there, and when you take it to the track there will be an LS there to show you whos boss....I would think wisely before you make the leap, I wish I could turn back

500hp at the FW is what most of us are trying to get out of an LT1, right? If you are running through a 6 spd, you should put down about 450RWHP which I thought was what most of us want. I am putting together a forged 383 bottom end and with the help of Lloyd Elliott , I should get in the low 400's at the wheels with his LE2 package. Before you do anything, call Lloyd, he'll get you where you want to go.

Depends how you want it rated. No accessories, dyno headers etc. there are heads/cam stock shortblocks making in exess of 500fw, choke them down with headers that have to fit a chassis, full length exhaust, intake tract, accessories and they endup below 500fwhp.
