50 state legal headers?

I've heard a lot of good things about SLP, and not so many good things about the edlebrocks that I currently have on.

But what about some of the others? Hookers makes some smog legal shorties?

are there any midlengths that are smog legal?

Yes, Hooker makes 50 state shorties. JBA too. People seem happy with both. Hedman's website says they make some but I haven't heard of anyone using them.

Re: 50 state legal headers?

The Hookers probably won't make noticeably more power than Edelbrocks. I bought mine from Jet Hot.
Do a search on SLPs, there are several negative commentsabout fit/quality but they are capable of making good power.

The SLPs seem to do a little better, which makes sense since they have 1-3/4" primaries (the others are 1-5/8"). I don't think there's consensus on which of the others does best. Generally people seem to be satisfied with whatever they've got.

Yes JBAs and Hookers are available coated. You can also find out about that sort of thing on their web sites...
