2nd. i got the car in Reading PA, not a close trip. i got it from a corvette dealership there and after getting it home is when i did the look at every nook and cranny and never bothered to check the coolant... its not dexacool??? WTF? its just reg coolant.. would that be part of my prob, or if im gonna replace the WP neways should i just refill with reg coolant b/c honestly dexacool = $hit

You'll get a large range of opinions on whether Dex-Cool is good or not. Personally, I've never had any problems with it.

Cruising in 5th my car runs at 180,in 6th just a hair over,maybe 182/183.Having read the previous posts I now know this is related to the rpm's difference between the two gears.Have often wondered why it ran slightly hotter in 6th,never crossed my mind it had anything to do with the rpm's the mechanical pump was running at
