5% more power with fuel additive?

I stumbled along an ad for NX power booster fuel additive. They claim 5% more power NA and 20% on the bottle. A quick figure jumped in my head of 20 HP on a 400HP motor NA. This sounds like bs to me!

Definately bs. However, I did see dyno proof of a product called Accelerator in a hardcore Mustang racing mag. It gave a few more horses throughout the power band. I think the stuff was around like $15-20 a can, too expensive for an additive IMO. I've also seen additives with small amounts of nitromethane in them that GUARANTEE (that means it has to work, right ) power increases. Haven't seen any proof though, and it goes for like $30 a can .

Thats funny........a while back i was researching nitro "additives" and if I remember correctly the amount of nitro required to produce 5% more horse power also required fuel enrichment to prevent a lean condition. Not exactly pour in and go anymore. Not to mention the shipping charges for nitro, it cost almost as much as the bottle, $30+-

For $30 a can you might as well just buy some racing fuel that's blended completely and correctly.
