I had a local tranny guy rebuild mine. I bought the rebuild kit from Summitracing for $180 and he rebuilt it for $300. So for around $500 mine was rebuilt.

This will be my third year with many 11 second, 1.6 60's.

Damn, I wish I could find someone around here to do a rebuild for that much. For labor that is. I could buy all of the parts.

I am about to pay 1,600.00 for my peformance rebuild & 2800 stall converter, This seems a little high but I belive you get what you pay for. Larry's Automotive is going to do the job. Larry seems really cool, And I hear great stuff about his work. Plus, only two days down time to fix it,

Do you really have ANY idea what you're talking about? I've built performance 4L60E's for 10 years. (building for 14) The vacuum modulator swap is junk. Geem let's all take the fuel injection off and put carburetors on our LT1's. If you can't make a EPC controlled 4L60E work.You need to look into a new line of work. You DO build automatic transmissions for a living, right?

FWIW,my trans built 2.5 years ago by 12SCNDz went 11.02,11.09,11.02 in drive,in 95° heat on saturday,shifter was in drive,race weight is about 3550lbs.

no vacuum mod,still have the computer telling it what to do.
