without power tools, how long does it take to pull a 4l60e? about how high off the ground do i need the car. done this before in a professional shop environment, but don't have access to air or the lift or the tranny jack. just trying to figure out how long thi will take me in the driveway with hand tools.

If you've done this before and you know what bolts to remove, then it may take you an hour if you work with a friend. Get the car as high as possible, 3 ft is good.

The only difficult part of it (for me) was those damned cooler lines. Otherwise, dropping it in my garage wasn't that hard. I'd highly suggest renting a tranny jack if you can or getting one of those adapter tray things for a regular jack. Doing it with a thick piece of plywood and a jack sucks, not to mention it has very good potential for some serious pain.
