430 hp setup

Can anyone throw me a combo for an LT1 that could be a street motor that would peak at 430 hp or so around 6200 rpm? been using this engine simulation program, and its actually not that easy to get hp (according to the damn program) thanks.

I was thinking the same thing. I would think he would be in the 450+ area.

Re: 430 hp setup

... Adding cubes doesn't really add peak Hp as much as people think... When I had the 350, it was at 409hp. Same exact parts on the top end. I tend to put the "383's add tons of HP" in the same boat as the whole "performance chips add 50hp".... People overexaggerating. Torque is a different story. I gained almost 60 ft/lbs across the board...

Wow... tough room when people are dissapointed in a 430+ hp 383, not even knowing the full specs of the motor!!!

23x/24x... but I'm having some issues, so I'll have to get everything figured out and go back again. However it's not like I'm expecting a 20 hp gain either...

Re: 430 hp setup

hmm, interesting all of a sudden everyone thinks a 383 should make more than 430 and just a few months ago folks threw the BS flag when Denny made 446rwhp NA in this post

Just an observation....

Re: 430 hp setup

lol i thought 430 rwhp for a camaro 383 daily driver was quite a nice goal. Im still running my stock motor with alot of bolt ons in sig and even more now. Im going to get an electric water pump in the coming months and have allready invested in a light weight drag brake setup from sjm manufacturing front and rear, a strange 12 bolt rear end thats a spool by the way ;] And a really nice set of bogart wheels for the track ;] I am going as lightweight as i can but still be a daily driver. I figured that would be killer with 430 rwhp or so ;]

It always gets faster the lighter you go.
